This upgrade includes:
UI enhancements
  • CRT turning-off effect
  • Added text transmission effect in DATA>MAINTENANCE>About and INV>APPAREL screens
  • Optional personalisation to show user name in boot-up animation sequence, Vault assignment notices, About screen and Sleep Mode indication
  • Fixed various bugs and display glitches
Improved FM radio
  • Added FM radio as an option for the alarm sound
  • FM radio can be manually tuned with the top thumbwheel
  • Improved FM signal reception and sound quality
  • Radio on/off and tuning functions are now accessible in all modes. (Pressing the radio tuning knob turns the FM radio on/off in modes other than RADIO)

To upgrade your Pip-Boy:
  1. Connect the Pip-Boy to a USB socket on your computer (using its charging cable, or a USB-C data cable).
  2. If the Pip-Boy doesn't turn on automatically, press and hold the small power button just under the display.
  3. Press the Connect button below.

For help getting started, please take a look at the Pip-Boy manual. Note that the Pip-Boy is hand-weathered with a paint that simulates the build-up of dirt in the corners. This paint is not permanent and can be adjusted or removed using a paper towel or cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol (or vodka or gin) without damaging the silver-painted surface. Do not use acetone or thinners as this will damage the underlying paint finish.
